How is cocoa formed?

By 8.33

Everybody knows cocoa is the closest thing to heaven on this earth.
But how does it look before it is transformed to things like...
THESE GODDAMN DELICIOUS CHOCOLATE BROWNIES I JUST MADE

Cocoa three, or Theobroma cacao, is an evergreen tree native to Central and South America and its seeds are used to make cocoa stuff such as CHOCOLATE

The funny thing is, unlike the trees and plants we usually see, the cocoa tree blooms and bears seed in its stalk.

Pretty

Which really makes it quite easy to pick up when it's ready, don't you think?

The Mayans believed that cacao (kakaw) tree was somewhat sacret and it even had its own patron god Ek Chuaj, who got an annual festival dedicated for him.

Nowadays we appreciate the cocoa deity by stuffing ourselves full of chocolate in any given holiday!
(Halloween, Christmas, Valentine's day... anything goes)
