Mites and how to get rid of them

By 3.55 ,

Alright kiddos, let this be a lesson to ALWAYS put the plants you take in from outside on quarantine for couple of weeks before taking them in with your other plants.

My poor baby Anthurium almost got eaten whole.

These microscopic little twats just walk on the leaf and suck the juices out making the leaf greyish and ugly.

Thankfully my Anthurium doesn't have that much leaves on it so it was pretty easy for me to wash, wipe and poison them with pyretrine.

The best way to keep bugs away is wiping your plants' leaves and giving them a good wash in the sink or in the shower every now and then. Make sure to keep the humidity high and spray water on them on daily basis. Spraying water on leaves lowers the temperature of its surface for a tiny bit and that temperature change is something bugs don't like not one bit.

And now for the culprits

This is what happpens to you when you bring bugs to my home, Brugmansia.

You get stripped off of all your leaves until you start growing healthy ones.

Always be on watch for tiny bugs, they can do a whole lot  of damage if they get to spread to all of your plants.
