Everybody knows cocoa is the closest thing to heaven on this earth.
But how does it look before it is transformed to things like...
THESE GODDAMN DELICIOUS CHOCOLATE BROWNIES I JUST MADE
Cocoa three, or Theobroma cacao, is an evergreen tree native to Central and South America and its seeds are used to make cocoa stuff such as CHOCOLATE
The funny thing is, unlike the trees and plants we usually see, the cocoa tree blooms and bears seed in its stalk.

Here's to show how some of my plants have grown in a year (or so)
Both of my Epipremnums have grown quite a bit, I've kept them in shape by cutting.
Sansevieria is a slow grower so nothing new on that... It's got some new sprouts and has grown in size in general.
Asparagus has become huge in past year, it loves it's spot on the shelf, a little hidden from the sun.
Maranta is located to my bedroom shelf and loves to be in there. It's grown a bit one-sided but nobody will know unless its moved away from it's spot. Nowadays it's huge!
The Dracaena is still doing.... whatever it's doing. Apparently it's job is to sprout one loong flagpole a year and not grow anything else.
The Codiaeum is HUGE. (Dog in pic for scale).
And then the Anthurium..... Eh... Nevermind.

So, I have all of this mint and now its fall.
How to preserve all those delicious herbs from summer without having to dry them out?
Try this tip I learned somewhere on the depths from internet.
Can't remember where but just remember this is certainly not my own idea, but someone much wiser one's.
Works with most herbs, not just mint.
First off, you need these ice cube thingies.
The other one makes ice cubes that look like a duck.
Just so you know.
Its awesome.
So after you've ripped off all those delicious leaves from your mint it might look a bit sad.
But don't worry, mint is one of those plants that just WILL NOT DIE.
Hence, plant it in a pot if you dont want all of your garden to be mint.
Chop them up with a sharp kinfe.
To mush like this.
Put them in the ice cube machine and pour some water in there too.
Roughly a day later youll have nice cubes one giant chunk icy mint.
I'm no Martha Steward.
In the ideal conditions you're supposed to have nice little cubes of mint you can use one by time to where ever you might need them.
Theyre supposed to stay fresh and delicious this way.

If you're lucky enough to have asthma some weird unknown breathing issues like me you're probably interested in having a good quality air up in your apartment. And even if you're "normal", it's really something you should look up to.
It is no secret that plants cleanse the air around them, but alas, usually the air in our houses is way too dry for them. (Especially in winter)
Dry air can cause all kind of problems starting from brown leaftips to pest infestation. Pests, especially mites, just love that dry air in your house and thrive in such conditions.
So here's my humidifier. I chose the floor model because as you may see all the table space is reserved for plants. It makes this thin mist that plants and my lungs love.
If you're looking for a humidifier I recommend the cool mist humidifier rather than a vaporizer. Cool mist is much safer for plant leaves and all other living beings around the house that might kick it down (I'M LOOKING AT YOU, DOG), although they both do the job.
I'm not gonna go to the technical details since I'm a gardener, not a humidifier seller.
My point is, this thing is lovely.
It makes happy plants, happy lungs and that kind of a jungle feeling to your house!

You all remember this beauty from before. I've been keepingi tin a shape and cut some of the long branches off to keep it fit for the spot.
I've tried taking cuttings from similar Ficus before but with no success, so I wasn't expacting this to succeed either. I just felt bad throwing those cutting away, so I kept some.
Today I grew tired of watching that pot on my counter and proceeded to throw those cuttings away, thinking it't just garbage.
But o lordy loo sometimes accidental success appears and ta-da we got ourselves some roots!
I'll leave these babies alone in the same spot to develop some more and after a while we have some potting to do.
Remember that roots like to develop in darkness, so don't put cuttings in see-through jar.
